On February 13, 2025, in Bucharest, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania A. Annayev and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy of Romania, co-chairman of the Romanian part of the Turkmen-Romanian working group on cooperation in the energy sector Pavel-Kasian Nitulescu and representatives of relevant departments. The main topic of the talks was strengthening bilateral ties in the oil and gas industry and developing trade and economic cooperation.

According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania, at the meeting, the parties noted the positive experience of interaction in the energy sector and discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint projects. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Turkmen-Romanian working group, as well as preparations for its next meeting, which will be held in Turkmenistan.

In addition, the Turkmen side invited Romanian companies to participate in annual international exhibitions and forums in the oil and gas industry held in Turkmenistan.
