Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Cyprus (with residence in Rome) T.Komekov presented his credentials to the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides.

The presentation ceremony took place in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The President of Cyprus conveyed warm greetings to the head of Turkmenistan and expressed best wishes to the Turkmen people. At the same time, the important contribution of Turkmenistan's policy of positive neutrality in promoting peace, stability and security was noted.

Having conveyed warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the head of Cyprus, Ambassador T.Komekov presented an invitation on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to participate in the International Forum of Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12.

The parties expressed interest in developing friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Cyprus in areas of mutual interest, the source notes.
