A meeting of the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Council of Elders under the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held at the Maslahat Köşgi Palace in Ashgabat.

According to TDH, one of the main issues brought up for consideration at the meeting was the election of a new member of the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the Council of Elders under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.

During the meeting, issues related to the activities of elders to popularize the book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth - the support of the Motherland” among young people were also discussed. Those present emphasized that this meaningful work has become a valuable guide for the public in educating patriotic, highly spiritual youth with a broad outlook.

In addition, the meeting participants considered issues related to the work carried out by the elders to promote among the population the socio-political significance and deep symbolism of the motto of 2024 - “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi.”

During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on the activities of the Council of Elders at the Charitable Foundation to provide assistance to children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In this regard, it was noted that commitment to the national principles of humanism, including the willingness to help those in need, to surround children left without the care of loved ones with care and attention, is a guideline that guides respected elders.

Regular practice has included the allocation of funds from the Charitable Fund to carry out various operations for children in need of care in medical institutions of the capital and velayats of the country, as well as payment of expenses for treatment and the purchase of appropriate medical supplies for young Turkmen citizens who are raised and educated in orphanages, specialized schools and boarding schools.

The humanitarian actions carried out by the Foundation at the international level are widely supported in friendly countries, where interest in the Foundation’s charitable activities is growing.

During the meeting of the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the Council of Elders under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, a number of other issues were considered and appropriate decisions were made.
