Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed issues on water issues online
An online meeting was held between representatives of the Turkmen State Scientific-Production and Design Institute of Water Resources “Turkmensuvilimtaslama” of the State Committee for Water Resources of Turkmenistan and the Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed methods of flood prevention and measures to strengthen banks. Corresponding proposals were also made to prevent dangerous situations that may arise on the Amu Darya. Specialists from the institutes of the two countries agreed to work out specific issues before the next meeting. The corresponding protocol has been signed.
