In order to develop humanitarian cooperation
These days, a seminar is being held in Ashgabat, in which representatives of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are taking part.
A number of sessions are planned within the framework of the seminar, the first of which is devoted to the presentation of a general understanding of the cash voucher program (CVA) in order to prepare for an effective response to crisis situations, familiarization with examples of action plans of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies of other countries.
Joint activities allow the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan to realize its existing potential and increase the level of knowledge of the Society’s employees and volunteers.
At the meeting, a wide range of issues of cooperation between the NRCST and major international organizations and structures, primarily with the UN, was discussed.
Information was heard on plans for further interaction with relevant ministries and departments, holding business meetings and training events, and the practical implementation of the “Action Plan for 2024-2026 for the implementation of international humanitarian law (IHL) in Turkmenistan.”
