Preparations are underway for the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in Ashgabat
Preparations are underway for the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, scheduled in Ashgabat on May 24 of this year. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov at a Government meeting.
In this context, it was noted that in the implementation of the foreign policy course of neutral Turkmenistan, great importance is attached to fruitful cooperation with the CIS countries. As an associated member of the Commonwealth, our state regularly participates in CIS events and makes a significant contribution to the development of multilateral partnerships.
Currently, in order to organize preparations for the meeting of the CIS State Stewardship, proper work is being carried out. In this regard, it is also planned to hold an Information Briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on May 20, and a corresponding Working Meeting in the capital on May 23.
Following the meeting, a number of documents will be signed and a press conference will be held.
