Belarus intends to create its own operating system, browser and office suite
Belarus intends to create a national operating system, its own web browser and a set of office programs. This is provided for by the plan to ensure the country’s digital sovereignty, said the Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic Konstantin Shulgan.
For these purposes, cooperation will be established with IT developers in Belarus.
According to the minister, the development of Belarusian software is an important task, the solution of which will ensure independence from imports.
