The project of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will accelerate data transfer between Central Asia and Europe
The joint project of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan on the establishment of the "Digital Silk Road" contributes to the acceleration of data transmission from the Central Asian region to Europe.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of AzerTelekom Fuad Allahverdiyev at the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2023 International Conference, which was held in Baku.
"The implementation of this project will allow us to turn Azerbaijan into a digital hub. Along with the export of renewable energy, our country will also transport international traffic," Allahverdiyev said.
The project is aimed at ensuring stable Internet traffic between the Central Asian states and Europe through Azerbaijan, which will contribute to the development of information technologies and the digital ecosystem in the region.
