Within the framework of the medical forum in Korea, the delegation of Turkmenistan held a number of bilateral meetings

Representatives of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry Azat Ovezov, took part in the International Forum “Medical Korea 2024 - 14th Global Conference on Healthcare and Medical Tourism”, which took place in Seoul on March 14-15.

The event was attended by high-level official delegations, scientists and health experts from around the world. The forum served as a platform for participants from different countries to discuss the main challenges and trends in the healthcare sector, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

During the visit to Seoul, the Turkmen delegation held a number of bilateral negotiations. The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of healthcare and medicine with the Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Kim Hye-jin.

During the meeting with the President of the National Institute for the Development of Korean Medicine (NIKOM), Mr. Chung Chang Hyun, the parties paid special attention to issues related to the creation of the Center for Traditional Korean Medicine, which is planned to be created in Turkmenistan, and exchanged views on upcoming joint work.

Turkmen representatives also met with delegates from the Chilgok Hospital of Kyungpook National University, led by Dr. Kim Won-hwa, professor of mammography at Kyungpook National University, the source notes.
