The 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Ashgabat
Today, the capital hosted the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), chaired by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, member of the Council of Elders of the OTS Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
As you know, since 2021 our country has observer status in the UTC. The holding of the next meeting of the Council of Elders, which is an advisory body of the Organization of Turkic States, in Ashgabat indicates the active position of Turkmenistan in the development of multifaceted constructive cooperation with the UTC. The Turkmen people are united with the peoples of the member countries of this Organization by the commonality of historical roots, cultural and spiritual traditions that have developed over centuries, which in the modern era are acquiring new content.
During the meeting, the elders exchanged views on the most important issues of mutual interest. The elders paid special attention to further popularization of the history of the Turkic world through the development of scientific cooperation, academic research and joint international conferences.
Following the meeting, the Communiqué of the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the UTG was adopted.
The next meeting of the Council of Elders of the UTC, held in Ashgabat at the initiative of the Turkmen side, became an effective contribution to the further strengthening and development of traditionally friendly interstate relations and fruitful diverse cooperation that meets the goals of common well-being.
