The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Mufti of Turkmenistan, the imams of the city of Ashgabat and the Ahal velayat, TDH reports.

As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, during the month of Oraza, fasting is observed, according to traditions and customs, sadaka agzaçar is given in cities and villages, tarawa prayers are read, prayers are offered in the name of a prosperous and happy life of the people of Turkmenistan, the prosperity of the country, the unity and cohesion of the people.

This year, on the night of omnipotence Gadyr gijesi of the holy month of Oraza, the doors of new mosques in all velayats of the country will open wide, which is another confirmation of the worthy continuation of noble principles.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also emphasized that this year is marked by the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the philosopher of the East, classic poet of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi. In this regard, ceremonial events are held in different countries.

Then sadaka was given to the heads of delegations and guests who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the next 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States.

Taking this opportunity, the National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked everyone for participating in sadaka agzaçar.

The Mufti of Turkmenistan read a prayer service tebärek, offering aýat-töwir about peace and prosperity in the Turkic states, including on Turkmen soil, about the unity of peoples, the prosperity of countries, and the acceptance of sadaka by the Almighty. Then dishes of national cuisine were served.
