The possibility of joint charitable projects with Turkmenistan was discussed in Geneva
The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Khadzhiev, met with representatives of the Latter-day Saints Christian charity organization accredited at the Geneva office of the Community of Nations.
During the meeting, issues of establishing bilateral cooperation were discussed in order to implement joint humanitarian projects aimed at providing assistance to the most vulnerable segments of the population in various regions of the world. Representatives of the organization highly appreciated the humanitarian activities carried out by Turkmenistan in the region and in the world as a whole, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During the conversation, the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Foundation, created in Turkmenistan in 2021, to help children in need of care were noted and the importance of charitable activities in the modern world in general, taking into account current realities, was emphasized.

The Latter-day Saints organization has a presence in nearly 190 countries. In 2022 alone, it implemented 3,692 humanitarian projects around the world for a total amount of 1 billion 20 million US dollars.
