Chinese company Huawei Technologies will assist Turkmenistan in expanding the telephone network
The Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan will conclude a contract with the Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. contract for the purchase of equipment, software and licenses, transportation, installation, commissioning and technical support for the expansion of the fixed telephone network in the velayats and the city of Ashgabat.
The relevant Decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan today at a meeting of the Government in order to further improve the ongoing work on the implementation of the "Concept for the development of the digital economy in Turkmenistan in 2019-2025".
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to coordinate all processes in the field of communications at a qualitatively new level, to optimally use the existing potential.
Having signed the Resolution, the President of Turkmenistan sent it to the head of the Digital System Agency, instructing him to take specific steps to implement it.
