
The President of Turkmenistan congratulated the participants of the “Türkmentel–2025” and “ITTC–2025” forums
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the 18th International Exhibition and Scientific Conference "Türkmentel–2025" and the International Conference and Exhibition "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development–2025" (ITTC-2025) on the opening of the forums, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
As noted in the head of state's welcoming message, these events are of great importance for the introduction of advanced technologies and innovative developments in the country and for strengthening international partnerships in the fields of transport and communications.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan, with its advantageous geo-economic position, attaches great importance to exploiting its transport and transit potential. The country is undertaking extensive work to create new transport and transit infrastructure in the East-West and North-South directions, opening up opportunities for enhancing mutually beneficial regional and international trade and economic relations in the Eurasian region.
The President noted that Turkmenistan is systematically developing the digital economy, implementing the e-government system, and expanding artificial intelligence and cloud computing capabilities. The country has adopted the "Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2026–2028."
The head of state recalled that 5G technology for communications and internet systems was introduced in the city of Arkadag as part of the International Year of Peace and Trust. Furthermore, construction is underway on the Serhetabat-Herat fiber-optic communication line and the Torghundi-Sanabar section of the Torghundi-Herat railway.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the forums will become an effective platform for exchanging experiences between domestic specialists and foreign partners, establishing broad connections, and discussing and implementing mutually beneficial projects.
