Expanding the trade horizons of Central Asia: the role of the international seaport of Turkmenbashi as a transit hub
Today, on February 14, a round table will be held online on the topic: “The role of the international seaport of Turkmenbashi as a transit hub for Central Asian exports.”
The organizers are the Turkmen Logistics Association and CILT Central Asia with the support of the USAID Central Asia Trade Program.
The purpose of the event is to increase awareness of the services provided by the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, increase transit traffic through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, familiarize participants with alternative cargo transportation routes, which will expand trade relations between Central Asian countries in the direction of other countries.
The round table program consists of a discussion of practical transportation issues, including transportation issues through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, transportation schedules and rates, forwarding services, logistics services, paperwork, issues of transit procedures, etc.
The round table will be attended by exporters, shippers, forwarders, carriers, logistics companies of Central Asian countries, representatives of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan (Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency), “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan” JSC, Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) TRACECA, Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as industry regional associations.
