Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kakha Imnadze. This was reported by the country's Foreign Ministry.

During the talks, issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNRCCA in the context of the work of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly were discussed.

The central place in the negotiations was occupied by the priority positions of Turkmenistan at the current session of the UN General Assembly. As noted, many of these positions correspond to the mandate of the Regional Centre. In this regard, the Turkmen side confirmed its readiness for active interaction with the UNRCCA on their practical implementation.
