
Armenian President Receives Invitation to International Forum of Peace and Trust in Ashgabat
During the official meeting, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Yerevan Muhammetgeldy Ayazov conveyed to President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan an invitation on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the International Forum of Peace and Trust. The event is scheduled for December 12 in Ashgabat, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
President Khachaturyan expressed full support for Turkmenistan’s neutrality policy and highly appreciated the country’s efforts to ensure peace throughout the world. The head of the Armenian state gratefully accepted the invitation and announced that the Republic of Armenia will be represented at the forum by a high-level delegation.
During the meeting, the parties noted the long-standing friendly and warm relations between the two countries. President Khachaturyan emphasized the importance of joint business forums for strengthening trade and economic cooperation.
Ambassador Ayazov also informed about the upcoming investment forum in Ashgabat on March 18 this year, to which the heads of relevant government agencies of Armenia have been invited. The diplomat spoke about preparations for the next meeting of the Turkmen-Armenian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which will be held in Yerevan.
